In this world, the United Nations Hazardous Species Investigation Agency, "EXCEEDS," has begun operations to ward off crises and disasters caused by invasive species. The story begins on the island nation of "Mizuho" in the Far East. Shina Hisase is a young invasive species extermination hunter living on a remote island. What incident will befall Shina, who wishes only to live quietly with her younger sister Setsuna, her sole remaining family member?
